2010 has been a busy year operation. The Prime Air Ambulance has attended a total of 108 missions and carried 106 patients so far this year. Of these, 18% were traffic accidents and 12% medical emergencies, but whatever the emergency, the skills of our medical teams have made a significant difference to patients who have made, some of which had not been alive today had we not been there. This is a true testament to the skills of our physicians and critical care paramedics and of course the skill of our pilots who are able to land the plane in some of the most difficult.
